In the newspaper the other day there were pictures from the yearly health checks at the London Zoo. The penguins were being weighed one by one and the giraffes got measured. It was all amazing, cute photos. Which made me think of one special creature from the Zoo...

 

 

The Prairie dog! It's one AMAZING little 'dog' I would love love love to snuggle up for autumn and winter.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

In mid June we had a little mini break where we went to P's aunties families house in Bournemouth. We spoke to their mini tortoises, flew kite, hanged out with his cousins, and relaxed for a whole weekend.

 

 

 

And offcourse smelt the sea and enjoyed the lovely landscape

 

 

 

 

Flying a kite is very underrated! (if you got a good wind)

because it has mostly been raining this summer, many days has been spent inside. A perfect 'pretend-i'm-in-sunny-paris'-thing to do is to bake macarons! :D After a lot off google:ing, it seemed to be a bit tricky, but nothing that's not worth trying. So, on the treys are blue, yellow & brown blobs (whisked egg whites and colouring).

 

 

after about ten minutes in the oven they go all smooth and hard :)

 

 

and then I prepared three different buttercreams: with lemoncurd, blueberry jam and melted chocolate.

 

 

then spread the buttercream on one half and add the other half. Like a sweet mini burger :)

Yum!

 

 

Me and P are totally hooked on sushi and if we got the time, doing it ourselves is so much fun!
