part 20, 2012

Today was the big day we were gonna walk up the eifeltower, and the rain was pouring down!
A good stretch is important
Massive work of steel
So we walked and walked...Are we ever gonna get there?
Woho we made it! <3 Amazing view.
Within a couple of second a raincloud sorrounded us and the view dissappeared!
A couple of minutes later it was super sunny again and we decided to hire bikes. (I was convinced we were gonna get runned over and die by crazy parisians...)
Arc the triumph - check!
we sat down for a cup of coffee and played Uno for ages in the sun,
Pretzel-moustache is the best moustache!

In the evening we got lost and sat down for some drinks in the only bar opened. We met a very famous (?) french rapper and he told us about his Paris until they put up the chairs on the tables and it was time to go home.

part 19, 2012

the next day in Paris i woke up with a terrible tummy ache so we stayed at the hotel and watched the Hunchback of Notre Dame until the worse ache was gone. Then we headed out for the real deal of notre dame
I was totally mesmerized by the stained glass
the crazy fountain by the pompidou centre
shhh
Hello Marilyn
Then it was coffee, crepes and postcard writing-time
Bonjour

And after we've walked by the small streets of Marais and wow:ed over big balconies we walked hand in hand along the Seine down to the Louvre.
I especially liked the arts of Africa
And some of the Italian paintings
And a packed room with a tiny Mona Lisa.
Then we walked home, changed clothes and ate the best lobster dinner we've ever had!

part 18, 2012

Tiny breakfast before big picnic in a park. Pain de chocolat, macaron & caffe creme. Mmmmm!

We went to a foodmarket to get some picnic essentials. (we didn't go for the brain though....!)

(Jardin du Luxembourg)

A great view, amazing food, good weather, relaxation and the best company.

Love holiday!

Then we went to the 'love bridge' (Pont des Arts) where we locked our love up and threw the keys in Seine

moi

then we went to Laduree and bought each other a very expensive and amazing mini macaron!

They're like a soft pastel dream and I love love love them! I had a liqourice one. Mmmmm!

Mon amour

'

Later in the evening we went on a boatcruise and the rain was pouring down.

But that doesn't matter when you're in a such beautiful city and every view is new to your eyes.

We learned a lot about the history of many historical buildings , but also along the river you could see lovers hiding on makeout-benches or groups of too young teenagers having big partys and homeless people trying to get some sleep. All together very fascinating.

Then we went to bed, very tired and happy.

part 17, 2012

On monday the 4th of june me and Paul took the train from London to Paris!

We arrived to our simple hotel (that was situated in the middle of the red light district hah...) quite early and then went out exploring.

(ouch!)

We did a lot of walking and stopped as often as possible for a drink or a nibble on cosy cafés.

We had a late dinner in Montmarte and on our walk home we saw this cute street art by 'the street of the moon' and that was all for day one in Paris.

I'm not sure if I've told u all that I work for Accessorize, as a sales assistant.
I love the brand and my job which helps a lot on the 'I'm happy'-bar in life.
A collegue once told me that I looked like a child on the morning of christmas day (eve in Sweden :P), while unpacking the stock in delivery, which was very true. I'm always super excited about the new stock arriving and I'm very positive for the future of the brand. Preaching finished.
I've never been too keen on their bag-collection though. I've liked many bags, but not to a degree where I would buy one. Until yesterday when this beauty revealed itself in delivery!

£38

It's the perfect colour of dark tan, perfectly solid for every day use, it will fit my daily-bagel-tub + all the rest necessities, I love the 'doctors bag'-shape And it got bunnies and bows on it! My old vintage bags are looking sad with broken zips, fabric that's fading or not the right size. And as I'm a bit of a bunny freak (already got bunny ring & socks from accessorize..) this is a MUST!
Can't wait for payday and for it to move in to my place :)

Here's some other favourites from this season so far, all pics from accessorize website.

Now I'm off to clean up the flat and then hopefully post the photos from me and P's Paris trip!

part 15, 2012

Today we spend the day in the park, playing the ingenious, swedish game 'kubb'

So we played and played until the clock turned 6 and the expected rain started falling down.

So we warmed us up in a nearby pub with drinks and food

T had some minuscule piece of wood stuck in his hand

No, it couldn't be found.

We played on the quiz machine, or mostly T who's an expert on it.

Then we played some kind of reflex-testing game or I don't know, and then we went home. Great day!

part 14, 2012

This day in May I had my first picnic

With melon, ice cream, beers and kisses.

behind us there were carrousels going round and round, up and down.

I was there.

Paul :)

part 13, 2012

This was my lovely breakfast in the sun:

Toast nr 1: with butter, cheddar cheese, cherry tomatoes, fresh basil, basil oil and herb salt.

Toast nr 2: with butter, date chutney, brie cheese and rocket salad.

A soft boiled egg with kaviar and a cup of tea.

Ahhh, let the day begin!

part 12, 2012

Today was the day to invite our friends to our new flat for a tasty bbq!

The guys

The gals

& the party. Then we went to 'Bogaloo' and danced to old soul and rock n roll classics.
