part 27, 2011

On the weekend before my birthday I decided to gather my friends and see the fireworks on the
guy fawks night.

but before the fireworks started we went on this ride and I almost screamed my throat out. It was fun.

Emma <3

Gabe & Davy I almost wrote <3

and the rest of the awsome crew

and then there were the impressive fireworks!

Ohhh! aaah! Woow!

the finaly

then we decided to walk all the way to greenwich because it was too crowded to get food & a drink anywhere closer.

we came down to the river thames and we had a great view of canary wharf on the other side

we had some take away and then we decided to take the boat back to central london.

On the boat!

It went Really fast. wihoo!

and we had a really good view of londons sights aswell

and back on steady land again

Gabby did the classic 'holding the handrail unaware of the blackness on it and then itch my nose and get black in the whole face'. I've been through that and not realised I was totally coal-mine-worker-black in my face until I came home & I had many loong looks on me before that haha...

then we went to this cool place, the black door

we had ourselves a drink and then the pub was closing

...so we went to the next place; my favorite little pub always playing soul music & got interesting beers behind the bar.

unfortunately all tables & chairs were taken so we went downstairs in the basement and for our surprise there were no one there and we could plug in our own music

so we created our own little club night :)

we found some interesting comic books

and when our feet could not dance any more we decided to go home. Wow. what a lovely celebration night!

part 26, 2011

on a sunday we went out to check out the outdoor gym in a tiny park nearby.

the machine were alright, I like the fact that you get fresh air while you exercise.

:(

then back home again. this is our house-squirrel (I wish). There's SO many squirrels around here, I'll let you know as soon I've befriend them!

part 25, 2011

Back in London again we decided to make sushi one day! So, the ingredients we used were:

sticky sticky rice

rice vinegar

flattened, dried seaweed

any vegetable you want

soya sauce

wasabi

pickled ginger

alt. any pre frozen, fresh fish

rolling mat, bought cheap on internet

first things first: boil the rice, and when done, mix with the rice vinegar.

prepare the veggies (=chop chop, preferably in long stick-shapes), a clean choppingboard for the rolling and prepare yourself mentally with a nice, ice cold beer.

put the seaweed on the mat

spread the sticky rice evenly on the seaweed, leaving the edges free

put on your selected ingredients in a row in the middle (we added mayo & sweet n sour sauce on top..yum yum!)

roll it all up and press the last bit real tight so it gets stuck. (think youtube clip can be helpful!)

chop chop chop in preferable sizes. don't forget taking turns being sushi master if you're more than one cooking!

sit on the floor on soft pillows. dip your lovely sushi pieces in soya sauce, wasabi & ginger and mmmmmmm sushi heaven!
