part 17, 2011

Last weekend my favorite mum came and visited me! Because she's a big fan of plants and stuff I took her to the royal botanical Kew garden, outside of London. A place I've never been to myself.

'This is a typical inflatus officinalis' or something. All the plants had their latin name so we didn't really understood what it was sometimes.

the gardens is supersuper big and you don't have the time or energy to see it all in once, which might be good so you can visit it another time aswell, maybe in another season for a totally different experience. (and these plants looks like they're from a tv-game and that they are super bouncy.)

we walked up to a big 'tree walk'

where you could walk along the treetops

in the evolution green house. wasn't as exciting as I thought, no dinosaurs!

super big trees everywhere

the rainforest-green house was magical.

and when our feets were too tired to walk anymore we decided to go home, but then we saw the rosegarden! We just had to make a last stop and desmell them all. Oh how I wish you could capture smells!

close to the station there's a cute café where we had a cup of coffee and a very tasty brownie. Every big thing has to end with a 'fika' (swedish word for coffee/tea with a biscuit or cookie).

On the evening we went out in London and ate in one of our favorite restaurants and then rolled back home again.
