part 29, 2013

Next day it was time for a trip to Rhodes town! On the way there we saw approximately 67 different fur-shops. Something you might thought you would see in Russia or north of Sweden but no, even the greeks get cold, and they gotta have real fur...

Also there were a lot of memory tombs along the roads. Probably from people that had died in the traffic. Makes it so more visible how dangerous traffic can be.

...some more fancy than others...

...And thousands of thousands of half built, empty houses everywhere, reminding us of the economic crisis they're still in. So sad.

then we reached Rhodes town.

a hard working man on top of a house.

A street cat in Rhodes is far more dangerous than the ones in Lindos i experienced :(

The wall of chewing gum (don't ask me why?!)

We walked and walked and saw some amazing things. Rhodes town is very beautiful but very touristy.

(my favourite shop!)

..And the worlds sweetest puppy. We became best friends. And then we had to leave :(

On our way to find the restaurant we'd been adviced on, from the restaurant owner in Lindos, we saw this massive appartment block.

oh wait, it was a boat!

A massive boat!

we finally found the place after some guidance...

As the menu was in greek (and neither of us are so great in the greek alphabet...) they took us back in the kitchen and we just pointed at what we wanted. Very simple, cheap and lovely restaurant!
